Whilst entertaining myself at work, as you do.

Looks like a good buy for somebody close to Bournemouth. I am not saying add is entirely correct, if it was closer I would probably go and have a look. Why do they not just put another alternator belt on ? If indeed it just fell off.

However I am a bit confused, I did a quick no cost reg check, and it is indeed an SE, however it has the Half leather seats, Alicante ? Which I thought were only available in the sport version. We're these seats an optional extra on other versions of FL1 ?

BTW, I have no affiliation with this company and will not gain anything...

Standard SE seats. Leather with alcantara (artificial suede) center sections. It has the optional front fogs and heated front screen.
If it was closer, I'd probably take a look at it myself.
Makes me wonder why they don't simply fix it?

looks good for spares alone

also wondering what's wrong with it

shame it's a 3 door though , lol

If it was driven far with the auxiliary drive belt off the head could be warped as the water pump will have stopped.
Will need, new belt, tensioners, possibly crank pulley, water pump and stat to be on the safe side.
Checking a TD4 for a warped head, nightmare:confused:
Mike

You could buy a decent TD4 engine for £200 and swap it over:)
So for a grand you could a fully equipped facelift 3 door ;)

Water and oil pump both driven off the cam belt, so that is not a worry - but I would agree that any "history unknown" car needs fresh belts, tensioners and water pump. Stat is easy once the head is off - may be worth changing.

Nice looking car. I like the face lift - but I think I prefer the more "classic" Mk1, and certainly prefer the earlier car's interior. Just my taste though! :)

TD4 is chain driven.
