Hi All,

While looking for some parts for my TD5 on ebay I came across an ad for the ECU i needed and gave the guy a bell, and turned out he had just started breaking Land Rovers on a farm (a hobby gone mad he said lol) anyway, found there lads really helpfull and he had parts for just about everything. going to go and have a poke around at the weekend lol
oh there number if anyone wants it was 0115 9550485.

Oh One thing he did say was there were 2 TD5 Engines? 10p and 15p? anyone know the difference?

10P & 15P are 2 phases of the TD5 engine. 10P is euro2 compliant and 15P is euro3 compliant. There are technical differences to injectors, EGR setup ECU, cooling system, etc.

Both engines produce the same power and torque. 10P engines have a non-flashable ECU, 15P ECU's are flashable.
 
Theres a lot of nicked landrovers about being broken, do yourself a favour and take precautions

it could be your landrover which gets stolen to order for parts which you want

it happens :(
 
TD5 Engines `upgraded' in 2002 I think - at least Castrol split their advice on lubes to the TD5 on that date (dont know why the lubes are the same to those 99-2002!). Unfortunately transfer boxes `downgraded' at around the same time (removed the diff lock mechanism - even LR can make mistakes!)
