Decided to refit my swing away spare wheel carrier to get the spare out of the tub.

The original square fog light had originally been moved up about an inch to miss the carrier, but it looked stupid so I moved it back.

They are also rubbish quality and the reverse light even though it's brand new fills with water and packs up frequently.

Anyone know the dimensions of the later round lights and if they are difficult to fit? If they will go on fairly simply and miss the wheel carrier, they may be the best solution.

That's the type of carrier I have.

Cheers.

Hi Kes,

I've just replaced all my rear lights with RDX LEDs;

Bought them on eBay; easy to fit (using existing holes and wires).

Cheers....

This picture business is killing me!!

It looks ok at my end....could be cos my doing it on an iPad

Yes I'm really tempted with a full set of them lights. Might just get the fog and reverse for now, it looks like they will miss the carrier, are they the NAS lights used for the fog/rev or have you got a link to them, are they from Boltonbits. BTW my iPhone put the photo the right way up after a second or two!! Apple!!

Kes....yes I got them from Bolt on Bits; good service.

I also upgraded my front lights as well.

See attached (hopefully the right way up!!!!):D

You still have to move the round fog up with that carrier

Ah ok, you may have just saved me a lot of hassle. Cheers.

Only other option is the square boltonbits LED square ones, they are about 28mm deep

Or I'll just shift the standard light back up.....

Is it possible to source the standard door mount wheel carrier to hold a freestyle alloy, or will they only work with steels. Save me messing with the swing away.

Unless you really want one, you dont actually need a reverse light anyway, so if i was you id save my self the hassle and money and just get rid of it all together.

Yep got work lights on the roof at the back, so at least I can see when reversing and the reversing light has packed up. It's the fog light that is in the way. I think I can move it back up temporarily until I can source something else.

Ok swing away fitted, not perfect but working. Standard fog moved up for now. Managed to find a Ring LED fog light and reverse light on Amazon for £12 each, they are not here yet but will report back if they are any good.

All finished and painted. Great to get the spare out of the back , loads more room.

Just need to sort a new mountain bike rack out, the tow ball clamp one won't fit round the spare wheel, so need a bolt on or hang on type for the spare wheel.
