Green flag via the caravan club.

Most breakdown clubs will recover you once long distance. If you are booked onto a site and broke down 200 miles from there and then can't get the fault fixed before you come back, greenflag will recover you both ways.

thanks for that were members of the caravan club so will get that sorted before the spring ta

caravan club do some good recovery packages my father joined because of going to france and gets cover threw club.

They call it red pennant through the cc. They offer cover for famileis etc even if they dont belong to cc. My fiesta was covered uk wide. The folks had a break down in their x trail in france a couple of years ago. Green flag offered to fly em home and recover caravan and xtrail. They sed no cos caravan has stuff they need in. So green flag got some bloke to drive a new e class eztate from germany to where they where and covered em insurance and ferry wise to tow the caravan home, the xtrail was recovered and taken to garage of their choosing. Not bad at all.

So green flag is the best overall

Definately and since I used to own a Disco :p thats one thing I am an expert on.

Green Flag even booked a hotel for me when I couldn't find one driving back up France (not in the Disco :D I wasn't that daft)

And I just remembered they once fixed the Disco and followed me for 15 miles into a showground to make sure we arrived :D Honestly I wouldn't touch the other two again, they have been too much hassle when braking down with the horses.

I used to be with Brittania but binned them after really awful service from one particular local garage. Not really Brittanias fault, but they weren't interested when I phoned to let them know.

You should have had a questionnaire from em. If you fill it out and explain your reasons Brittania are usually pretty hot at wrist slapping.

Just been on the Green Flag website looking for a quote and I read their terms and conditions. They will recover you following an accident, but will charge you for it! No different to the RAC, or anyone else, then. No point in changing providers if that's the case.

No, not if you are planning on having lots of accidents.

If you might break down before you hit something then it could be worth a look :D

Ah, but that depends what you break down with. More get outs than Houdini, some of these breakdown cover firms have, lol :D

Seriously though, Green Flag are worth a look. I have tried all three now and they have been the best by a mile.

My breakdowns usually involve a trailer and horses and means they have to liase with the horse recovery insurance people. Makes it more complicated.

My Disco had quite a few trips on the back of Green Flag trucks and they never tried to bill me. Even when they recovered it on the A1M in a blizzard. They took the car back to their depot and took me 20 miles home in a Land Rover :D That night the AA and RAC had given up and where leaving people to walk to hotels.
