Thank You James.
The spare axle I mentioned before from a 90. I may be wrong about the age of it as when I was doing my front axle, I got parts off it that did fit mine, can you tell by looking at it ??I'm sure I have a photo somewhere of the spare rear axle.
The front ball off it fitted mine as it was the same with bearing at bottom and bush at top. Will try and get the photo on.
front ones have discs the rears dont if pre 300tdi,,but a pic and i can try

Gonna strip one off tomorrow to compare, will post photo up. Im sure the front ones wer the same
Thanks again James

OK Stripped hubs of 90. Now I think they are exactly the same except the 90 ones have longer studs, will this make a difference to my Salisbury axle ? or am I missing something else ??
Thanks

Just a Quick one. Got my parts to replace flange and seal.
First photo is how mine came out from right to left seal. gasket then washer.
Second photo from Parts book looks like different order, seems right on the list but different on the diagram, should I just put them back in same order I took them out ?
Cant remember if I had the washer 607357 on mine for big nut

Still Not done this yet, been busy with other things. Got a good idea now of how to put it all back together.
I've cleaned it all out. Should I pack the bearing with a load of grease before I put seal and new flange back on, also what torque should I tighten the nut too??
Thanks

you tighten nut till you get the correct rolling resistance,or in your case till you reach the spacer and check there no play

OK I know this is not Land Rover but is this way similar to what I have to do ?? https://www.bing.com/videos/search?...0CDFBD59EBCE1D31302A0CDFBD59EBCE1D3&FORM=VIRE
I only have an ordinary Torque Wrench.
torque wrench is of no use just a bar and locking tool like the guy in the vid ,you can feel by rotating the bar as it starts to nip up ie some rolling resistance is starting which means no free play and some preload, obviously been run in bearings they dont need the pre load new ones do which is tight to turn by hand, as the nuts a steel locker you cant really feel the play taken up and pushing against the spacer which it must do

Thanks Again, I did get new bearing but just gonna go with the one that's already in.
Will let you know how I get on.
