Morning all, Freelander1 2006 TD4, 5door.
Changed the regulator cables, (tested with a 12v before installation and working fine.)
Getting three beeps from the dash when I press the window-up rocker button by the handbrake. I can hear the motor/controller click as though it's ready to move but I think the CCU must be stopping it, a sensor perhaps. I'm off now to remove the seal and play with the wiper (i read there's a sensor on the wiper position?)
Any ideas/experiences greatly received.:)

(The window doesn't go up at all.. Not from the rocker switch or from the key in the tailgate. The only way it moves is with a 12v and a wire as per 11min30secs in .)

Personally, i would need to know why the original did not have that roll pin modification, because not all owners would have one of those pins, and i doubt a garage if they were doing the job for you would go to the trouble of ding that modification, i suspect the clip that was undone as something to do with stopping the spring from going in fully?

Hi,

Try to reset the rear window by unpluging the battery, the boot window will go down.
You need to keep pushing the button until the window go up.
Or using the key on the booth door to rise the window.
You will have a confirmation sound if it works.

If it doesn't work, and you don't have a door altert on the dashboard, it's probably a CCU issue.

(Thankyou both very much for your input)

FIXED: Just turn the Engine on! for some reason (i guess slightly higher amperage?) it initially needs the engine on to go up.. now it works perfectly!!!!!!! yay.
Although it is slightly on the wonk.. I guess i'll level it and re-calibrate

If the battery has plenty of charge, it just needs the ignition to be on, which is a safety feature.

Glad it's sorted.
