good effort, id invest in a snorkel and raised breathers before you go any deeper, and also why are you dressed up as power rangers?

lol! they were my mates who had just finished a session of motor cross and jumped in for the ride. just fitted a snorkal and got raised breathers in the gararge ready to go on. suprised the old v8 didnt cut out!! never missed a beat allday.

Iv just got a V8 disco very similar to yours by the looks of it, was looking for snorkel and raised breathers for it as well do you mind me asking where you got yours and roughly how much they were?

Ya mates must of thought their rallyin outfits made ya all invincible ;);) :D

for the 3.9 safari snorkel about £170 from any good offroad shop or internet, wading kits are about 20 - 30 quid off ebay i think

btw no one does a snorkel for the 3.5 efi

Snorkels for v8's are a bit pointless without all the other water proofing that goes with it

If correctly fitted they'll save you hydraulicing ya engine if you unexpectedly drop into deep water, as before ya lectrics fail the pots would already have sucked in water through original air horn, fairly cheap insurance.

Thanks for that V8. It's a 3.9 i have so should be all good on the snorkel front.

At the moment i have a 2" lift kit diff guards, steering rack guards going for snorkel and wading kit next what would be your recomendations do look at next or what things should i look out for going wrong?

Cheers

Jono

true that, but i meant it wont be like a dezul, pileing through water windscreen deep all day long

Yea i realise that it would mainly just be for a safety thing if i did accidentally go in too deep!! Thanks for your input though!

get some plastic boxes and silicon sealant and seal in the coil and make a splash guard for the dizzy or put a bag over it, cover up and holes that will allow water to splash through onto the electrics. i chose to put 2 large shallow spot lights infront of the grill to reduce the water coming through just incase the water is a bit deeper than expected

have you just got springs and shocks on your disco? or have your got castor correction and extended brake lines etc

Thanks for ideas for protecting the electrics il get onto that.

Withe regards to the lift kit i think it will be just springs and shocks, this was already done before i got it...il ask the guy i got it from what exactly has been done.
