Finding model history for a disco 1

hello

I bought a late disco1 over in lincolnshire, an ES model with all the bells and semifunctional whistles which had it seemed been resprayed nato green. It is on a p reg mainland plate.

Since then i moved to northern Ireland and checked it in for some serious welding work. The chap who owns the independant i use remembers selling a small number identical ones to the army towards the mid ninteys for officer use when he worked for the main dealer, and he reckons this is one of those.

How would i go about retracing the steps my disco has taken over the last 20-25 years?
