I buy my tyres based on 3 criteria, Price, Price and Price. It helps if they a round and balanced and last for at least 100K miles.

Except that most of these "extra Info" schemes are simply a way of manipulating the market and putting up prices
We knew from experience in the 60's that Michelin X tyres lasted forever but had no wet grip.

What a load of B.S. Tyre choice is not going to have anything to do with being Eco-friendly. As for peeps wanting to buy tyres that might save an unnoticeable amount of fuel - well I never did. Let's face it Land Rovers of all descriptions are unlikely to be transformed in terms of performance because of the stickers on a tyre.

its a true site I am afraid and it looks like rather than them stopping this kind of crap which causes us to pay more tax to have it inforced and more money for our tyers britain will once again bend over and take it up the arse for europe!

I agree total and utter stupidity. Measure a tyre for road noise for christ sake. No mention of the bloody idiots with the straight through boxes or the booming stereos so long as the tyres are quiet. Tyres that save litre of fuel every 10,000 miles. The only way to save fuel with tyres is to blow them up hard to reduce rolling resistance, blow them up hard you lose grip. Looks like we are going to have tyres at 200 psi with a foam rubber tread. This is almost as good as the straight banana law they brought in. It would be funny if it was not so bloody infantile. Next we will have tyre fitter licences and £1000.00 tyre fitter training courses so that the new rules are monitored properly. You will not be able to kick a tyre without an appropriate licence. Again turning a seriously semiskilled job into college course licenced tyre fitters only job. Bloody stupidity in the extreme. It's about time we kicked this what has become the united states of Europe, from a free trade area, into touch. It makes you wonder sometimes who actually won the bloody war. Or country fought so we would not be ruled by these people and we now lay down and take this crap. Rant over for now.

Where did you ever get that idea from. The war was won by the Russians aided by the septics.. We may have used superior air power to stop em from invading. But anyone with a braincell knows that. If he hadn't invaded Russia & the Japs hadn't sunk the US fleet. We'd all be speaking German now..

Nein zat ist incorrecten. Errol Flynn and John Wayne won the war everybody knows that. IF the largest army in the world at the time could have fought it's way out of a paper bag, maybe things could have been different. All the Germans would now be speaking Froggy. IF there had not been the coldest winter for years in Russia the Krauts would have done them aswell. IF that dog had not stopped for a **** it would have won the race. IF is a bloody big word. IF we were still members of the thing we voted to join (well some of us did, not me personaly) The European free trade area. (Common market) in case people have forgotten what we joined. Which has now progressed from a free trade agreement to a do as your effin told or else agreement. Run by the two countries who have given us grief for hundreds of years, the Frogs and Krauts. What the hell did those who voted to join think was going to be the outcome?

Well we were on the winning side anaway.
BTW no one could have beaten america on there own turf in ww2 and as long as we could have kept the convoys going (and with US shipyards producing over 1 convoy ship a day by 41 I dont think that would have been a problem) I dont think Britain would have had a successful invasion against it after the battle of britain.
But yes IF is abig word!
If you look at the countries that lost , i.e. Germany and Japan , and in some ways the French as thay were beaten by the Germans thay are all doing really well wheras we have no industry , we are bankrupt with no future and by 2040 we will have 1 person in 5 as an ethinic and a popluation on 78 million when we can even fit in the 61 million we have now :doh:

To many spongers mate and not just the ethnics. We have Frogs and Spaniards fishing in our waters with British quota licences. Russian factory ships turning thousands of tons of grossly undersized fish into fish meal out around the coast every year. Yet our fishing industry is Kaput. Too soft a touch, but it is un-British to complain. Much to complicated to go into, here is not the place to do it anyway. Very, Very sad way we are going unfortunatly.
