Recently acquired my td5 minter inside and out tbh just a couple of niggly thiings,
1. It tramlines slightly after retracking thinking damper or bush somewhere???
2. Steering box is leaking poss replace the bottom bearing in it and put some stopleak, this could poss lead to the tramlining??
3. Upon first startup the clutch and brakes sound as if there's air in the system or airleak in the servo??? Don't think it's afffectinf the clutch but does make a horrid noise bleed system maybe??
4. Gearstick is vague that I'm sorting tho previous owner has given me
A plastic bushing but failing that its the bias plate

It's an ace truck tbh just wanna sort niggly bits, start as I mean to go on ;)

Here's a couple of answers:

The little noise/odd feeling on startup from the brake pedal is normal - they all do it.

Steering box - usually easiest to replace. Changing seal in situ is a pig and the thing usually still leaks. Plenty of threads on here about disco2 steering box replacement.

I know the traction control kicks up on Startup this other feeling happens after (just double checkin)
Steering box is worth a try I'd use stopleak on it once I've done the bottom seal/bearing plastic thingumabob
