Few 200TDi Questions

Hi all I've just bought a 1993 200tdi, just have a few questions about it really,

First off is the charge light works opposite to how it should, it flickers dim after first start up and becomes a constant once the battery has charged up again, I have checked all connections and put a volt meter across everything and everything is working and charging as it should, not sure if its just a loose wire or something?

Secondly there is a clicking noise coming from the passenger side swivel joint on full lock, there is a oil leak on the joint too, not sure if this linked, not a massive problem (or is it? haha) just wondering what it is.

Lastly (for now anyway!) is there anyway to bypass the interior alarm sensor? as everytime I leave the window or sunroof open after I lock the truck, the alarm goes off every 5 mins due to wind and anything else that disturbs the air in the interior and its quite annoying haha

Probably loose connection of the connector on the back of the alternator, the alternator brush box can easily be changed on the disco unit.
Clicking possibly the cv joint on its way out, could be someon has over adjusted the lock stop bolts as well.
Havent a clue on the alarm, but if all windows are shut there shouldnt be any air movement.
