can't the tratterers camp with the animals, the rangies stay in the stately home and the freelanderers camp it up somewhere in the middle? discos can have a slightly more refined tent

then suew can sneak into the rangey bit and be happy :D

:D:D:D

Anyway enough of this facinating conversation

My tratter has got to go and do its real job. Collect a horse for my friend, apparently we might have to load it next to the Leeds ring road :eek::eek:

some freelanderers have said they will be up for that.. but they demanded that they must go topless and wear assless chaps

And you wonder why the biggest group on this forum was not well represented at the do :hysterically_laughi

never looked at it that way,we are all LAND ROVER owners,so we are all on here together.ok i am not posting anymore on this thread as i can see it getting personal now.

LOL I was defending them. but seriously, do you wonder they dont turn up for stuff

Well being a disco monkey what turned up in a non landy and managed ti grab tha pod I found everyone to be tip bloody top. What really broke the ice mind.... Accy soaking me on video. I think everyone now knows me as the big Welsh drip on the video.

Ah...I see this is going well :p

Re accommodation, we did spend a lot and time and effort looking for somewhere with better options but the only places that had on site rooms with options for camping and a venue for the rally itself charge thousands for use of facilities before anyone even pays for a pitch or room.

That's assuming they'd have us.

Caravan hire might be worth looking at but that's probably not cheap either.

I spent a fair amount of effort trying to stir up interest and what was wanted especially from the Freelanders but got very little feedback so I'm not sure what the answer is there.

The focus from the beginning was to try and make everything as comfortable as possible while keeping costs down but even I was surprised at how posh the toilets, showers and big marquee were (carpet ) We were lucky with the weather but were prepared for much worse.

I know things are getting personal that has nothing to do with the bash but 110w especially put enormous amounts of effort into finding somewhere for us and I for one appreciate it hugely.

Constructive critism is always useful but a head butting compitition isn't so can we please stop dissing what was a celebration of 10 years of LZ. It was never going to be perfect but lots of folk in many different ways gave it a bloody good shot :)
