hi all bear with me i,m new at this i have just became the owner of a N reg discovery 2.5tdi my second one ,this time i replaced the cam belt, anyway my problem is when i lock my vehicle via my remote after about a minute the alarm goes off on top of this my vehicle will not lock without using my remote therefore is always open, any ideas please.

Be nice to know about this one chap, as mine randomly does this. I now walk off and ignore it... Silly really as if someone actually breaks in to it, i'll think its just being stuipid again!!

try disconnecting the movement sensor inside the vehicle. This is the most common cause of false alarm activations.

When removing surely the alarm shouldn't be activated??????

No it won't set your alarm off when you remove it. The wire simply unplugs from the back. If it turns out to be at fault they are easily and cheaply available on ebay.

I unpulgged mine as well, don't think the alarms gone off yet...
