well I got my 2002 4.4 a couple of months ago now and Ive been fixing faults since! Seeing as lots of threads just seem ask lots of questions but never seem to end with what the fault was and what fixed it I thought Id tell you what I did.
Heater fan stopped working 5 mins after picking car up. Fitted a new final stage resistor, fixed.
Check engine light came on soon after heater fan stopped, fitted a new pcv valve and all the breather and vac pipes, cleared fault on all comms, fixed.
Abs, hdc, suspension inactive etc lights all came on soon after check engine light came on, sent abs ecu away for repair, cleared faults, fixed. (it showed n/s/f wheel sensor fault but seeing as previous owner had fitted two of these in as many weeks it had to be something else)
Car broke down a few days after above happened, fitted new fuel pump, fixed.
All of this has been done over a few weeks after researching the faults either on here or by just Goggling the faults, and buying an All Comms diagnostic tool. Couldn't have done it without the above so thanks to everyone that has bothered to do how to write ups, and finish threads with what the problem turned out to be!!!!
