Hi Guys

My fan has been constantly staying on since Friday, it comes on I imediately turn the ignition on, however when I switch the engine off it goes off, the coolant is fine, the car was serviced in
May 2012.

It's the first time this has happend and I wonder if any member can offer some advice as to why this is happening and what I can do to fix it.

Thanks for any advice.

Best regards

Hi JM

Thanks for the advice, is there a picture of the temp switch, I don't use the aircon, I understand if I unplug this switch it will isolate and idetify the fault, when I locate it? Will leaving it off have any effect on the cooling of the disco?

Or does is the temp switch dual, aircon and engine temp?

If I can locate the switch I will do as you advise and get back to you, if you could point me in the direction of the aircon temp switch picture it would be easier for me.

Thanks for the advice as always.

Best regards

Hi JM

I pulled the switch as you suggested, and the fans continued running.

I hope this helps in your diagnostic.

Hi JM

The fans are those fitted by land rover when the vehicle was built, and have not been changed, never had any other issues with them.

I hope this helps.

Are u sure the the AC is not switched on via the dash switch that has the snow symbol on it.
If you have a relay 'locked on' there two compressor and logic positioned behind the drivers footwell kick panel and both are yellow.
