I'm getting to the point now where I'm considering parting with the beloved P38..
It's not me my love.. its you... most definitely you...
Having spent time effort and energy getting the P38 sorted from the ground up. Its now wearing me out..
So far this year new brakes head gasket and top end rebuild, custom fitted sun shades so baby is protected when/if summer comes..new shoes all round replacing the heater O rings has found my limit..
Two 35p rubber rings in a Land Rover bag has wound me up to the point of considering parting it down or just salvaging valuable items and scrapping the rest.
Yes the pipes should just slot in the groove and nip the clamp up. But no.. its not having it.. the top pipe refuses to seal at the top.
Taking the blend motor out gives greater visibility to the top. No the plastic isn't cracked it's just a very bad design.
Yes the wife and I have had a discussion about what to replace it with.. she hated it at first but now loves it. Likes the visibility the comfort the driving position compared to tge Cayenne but venturing more than a few miles from home leaves both of us stressed. With a wet carpet on the drivers side and a falling coolant level.
