facelift freelander sump cover help

hi all i want to do an oil and filter change but cant suss how to get the sump cover of ive undone the two bolts at the back but now in stuck looks like rivets holding the rest of it on any help welcome thanks in advance

Hi you have to remove the complete aluminium frame - 2 bolts at the front by the bumper, 6 screws into the bumper, 4 bolts (2 each side) into the subframe.

And of course the 2 bolts you have already removed

You can do it without taking the complete unit off but it involves a "tray" to direct the oil from the sump plug to the waste oil container.

Bit messy in my opinion and only relatively easy on a ramp

thanks mate thats a less hassel option
 
Mines off in 5 mins , I drilled out the pop rivets to the side , and the leading edge while the frame was off , use long tie wraps and the 2 bolts to the rear to refix ! :)
