Has anyone successfully swapped the centre grille panel on a facelfit F1?

One of my vehicles has the piece missing, looking at the way it has been serviced it looks like it was torn off to get to the front sump cover bolts!!

I have a good spare bumper which has a good centre grille panel but the rest is not as good as the original.

It is held on by heated and melted tabs. Is it possible to swap it? Anyone done it?
Thanks

I had to repair mine after a large stone damaged the mesh and broken a couple of the fixings. I actually used 2 part epoxy where the tabs had failed, and a soldering iron to melt the plastic where the tabs were still usable.

Thanks, I managed to extract a good used part from another bumper today. I used a dremel and disc to carefully cut out the tabs.

There is enough left to locate it and I think I will use a plastic body kit adhesive on the tabs that I had for another job. Hopefully it will hold with the screws in the bottom too.

It is done and drying. Will report back on success or not. Then bumper back onto vehicle (TD4 Sport). While I was thinking about the difficult issues I did a service on the bits missed off the service record and fitted new brake discs and pads. Off for MOT and this will become the daily I think.
