Exhaust Fell off Twice Today

Hi guys

Yes that's right whilst me and son was running back and too today collecting 36 x concrete fencing panels with my trailer the exhaust came off on two accasions today from the manifold, each time we nipped up the nut and bolt which I don't think is the correct bolt but thinking can I use a U clamp instead of the clamp that fits round the down pipe held on with 1 nut and bolt

its a new complete exhaust aswell

down pipe is supposed to be secured to block as well as clamp

Yeah that's right but for some reason mine doesn't have one on and it is a defender 200 and not a disco 200, mite have to fab something

most dont its a #### to get to get at , you may have the best idea

Mine was missing the block bolt, kept rattling so found a short 13mm bolt, fab'd a piece of rubber to go between the engine and exhaust and bolted it on, not that hard to get to!

Yeah I will try and do something tomorrow as if I have an axle to go and collect I don't want it coming off again
