Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum. I'm on my second new Freelander 2. I live in Chester Cheshire.
Does anyone have experience and guidance on the above annoying condition? My vehicle is coming up to 3 years old. I had it looked at 6 months ago under warranty and was fobbed off with the dealer's mechanic saying he'd found the same feature on a new vehicle. At that time it was an intermittent condition but its got now so that it occurs every time I decelerate - it kicks in at some 1100 rpm and the engine revs rise to 13/1400 revs during the braking - you can feel it occurring by your head nodding forward if you don't anticipate and resist it. Someone suggested that there was a software update to resolve this problem on the Evoque but the dealer said this isn't the case for the Freelander. I've got it booked in for a review of this issue in a couple of weeks time before my warranty expires and I'd like to go in there with some intelligence on the matter to get it sorted. Hope someone can help.
Thanks
John
