Quick question Will, I want to do an EWP installation as well, how do the flow rates for the belt pump compare to the EWP?

From my experience with EWP systems, there is more than enough flow for any K series engine including Will's forthcoming Turbo project!!

The EWP 80 is more than sufficient for the K series needs. By the way, I am 2850k in and not a sausage of trouble since the last lot of drama. My head is stil drinking a little coolan t and letting a little gas into the coolant but that's cuz it's a bit fooked.

nice one, take it you are using the davies craig ewp 80. did you remove the mechanical water pump because I am thinking of using both intandem if thats possible because I am not too confident about tackling the water pump removal as there are belts and cams involved. By the way I am doing this purely for cooling and heat soak and not the extra power.

You're scared to tackle belts and pump and you're gonna do this! Hope you know your fluid dynamics:D it took ages to make it work properly and if you have two pumps it'll be different again!

not looking to complicate the mod, so was wondering if i can have the two pumps installed at the same time and have the ewp come on above a certain temperature only...

Just take the impeller off the Landy pump.

Oh - and follow diesel and jaynes instructions to the letter, otherwise expect trouble. They have learned the hard way.

They have learned the hard way.

Is there another :D?

MHM is right, get a good quality mech pump that will last a while and prize the impeller off the shaft - this tuns it into an idler wheel and it sucks no power out of your FWBHP.

Having both is likely to end in tears, they will fight each other. People be like "but momma what if the EWP fails? There's no backup!" and then I'm like "what if yo ass fails, ain't no backup up for that, chulo!"

I got chucked out of Ming's wine bar just now. *hic.*
