Ok dpf comes under engine, not exhaust.. obviously!!
Remaining volume 0
Soot concentration 12g

Why is remaining volume 0? Is something unplugged or bodged? Wouldn't be surprised!

No idea if 12g is good or bad, guess i need to keep an eye on it
Done about 3000 miles since it had a forced regen/clean

Hi All, such an informative thread, thanks for all the contributions! I have an issue and I cant work out if its the car or SDD. I downloaded PROs ISO and it works perfectly, connects to the JLR servers without issue, using on an old Win 7 Pro laptop, current date and connected to the internet. I haven't had any success in accessing engineering mode (other than finding SoftwareDownload.htm and loading IDS, but even this seems limiting), I kept trying the vehcom site but kept coming up with error, although I have just re-tried with an old seed and it did finally work so I think a bit of perseverance is needed. The issue I have on my 2005 D3 is my ABS module has a different VIN to the rest (it has been replaced with a 2nd hand unit in the past). I have made some CCF changes using my NAOCOM and I get a Vehicle Dynamics communications fault which knocks out the EAS, and transfer case module. I can re-load the original as built CCF and the errors go. I am trying to get to the screen where I can compare the CCFs in the 3 save locations. Anything I do to try and download the CCF it locks up and comes up with 'Runtime Error; This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way' and then crashes Internet Explorer. I have tried to re-program the Vehicle dynamics module but it fails as soon as it sees that it has the incorrect VIN. I have a feeling that one of the CCF backups is corrupt (i suspect the PCM, for other reasons) but I want to confirm it. The one time I did manage to download a CCF from the car using IDS it was completely blank, im not sure whether this was just a failed download or if this was in fact a blank ccf, once I populated it I couldn't send it to the car, it just kept coming up with failure to connect seeming to hint at incorrect VINs.
I'm not sure if the fact that it keeps crashing is just a cause of it not being in engineering mode, I will continue trying to get it into engineering mode and try again.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Is there a way of changing the VIN stored in the Vehicle dynamics unit? Also the VIN stored in the Restraints module is just ??????????????, would this cause a problem?

Many Thanks
Josh

I'm getting error -40 while trying to send updated ccf parameters. Is there any documentation on errors? Using a Mongoose clone. Windows 10, edge on IE9 mode. SDD 163 seems to all work well except for sending new ccf

Edit: I ended up loading up virtualbox and a copy of win7 x86. I can finally make ccf changes and get no -40 error. Edge IE9 mode on w10 simply does not work. I can see in the session logs that the actual job to write to the ecu never happens due to an error. Disclaimer.. although the flash completes in win7x86 and the changes apply and birds are singing, after the message "Download complete.", I get an unknown error at the next process. I'm taking a big guess and think it's to update the car configuration profile on SDD since I still see old information unless I close the session and start a brand new one. I will have to look at the session log to see what/why it happened.

hence the reason I don't supply and fit systems with windows10 as at first glance it looks ok but on the road in my experience you get odd errors here and there.

drop me a PM I will assist you and supply engineering mode in which you can sync the CCFs across all modules but still need to program ABS after.

I am looking for a suitable windows tablet/laptop with good hardware that can install windows 7 32 bit. Something with more processing power compared to the older laptops that came with windows 7. Does anyone have recommendations?

I've been using SDD 163 for a short while but when I try to use it now it says I need update and gives very limited use. I tried the update but nothing happens. If I install version 164 without uninstalling v163 first will it keep my session files and callibration files etc? I would make back ups if I knew where to find the downloaded files.

If it's just for SDD, it doesn't need to be anything special. A regular laptop from the Windows 7 era is just fine.

Yes it will keep all settings and sessions

Does anyone know what 'missing asbuilt data' means? I try to run it and it tries to open an action file, but i don't know what you're supposed to do with that

After several hours (days) of searching, I have found a general reference for a proper Windows 7 32-bit laptop through Dell:

Laptops with Intel Skylake 6th-generation processors were the very last of Windows 7 support and they are few and far in between in terms of approved drivers. Broadwell 5th-generation processors were still fully supported during that time. That being said, I have found the Dell XPS 13 9343 model is the best. There other comparable brands/models. However, I recall the XPS laptop being one of the best laptops that existed for Windows 7.

I managed to find a working one on ebay for a mere $119USD spec'd at i3-5010U 2.10GHz, 4GB RAM, 128GB M.2 SDD. Since Windows 7 32-bit only uses a maximum of 4GB, this fits the bill.

The reason why I purchased a Windows 7 32-bit compatible laptop is simply because newer ones are much more expensive, requires the use of a virtual operating system and I could not run many routines in a virtual machine as it would error. Also, the end cost is substantially lower than a GAP IID Tool. Although IID Tool is very convenient, having more than one JLR vehicle to run diagnostics with is very costly.

Unforutnately, errors still persist on a physical win7 laptop with the 164 build posted. Cannot program keys, CCF editing completes the writing routine but errors out trying to exit routine towards the end (reading routine?), height calibration errors on exiting routine, there's probably more but that's what I am seeing so far.

ccf routine stops at
sa_azcs_backup_01 legacy setup application returned false
