Hi everypeeps, been lurking quietly for a while, reading, learning, and laughing far too much, there are some very interesting personalities hereabouts.....LOL
Anyway I am about to buy a '98 300tdi Discovery auto Safari edition, decent nick, 70k miles, recently put it on a ramp and searched for rust, nothing doin, none, anywhere, all original and solid (except for a smidgin in the rear door shuts, but nothin some wet and dry and hammerite wont sort, and the usual rear step issue)
Runs nice, starts on the key, mild vibration at 70, guessing wheel balance? tho I once had a prop shaft out of balance, years ago.....
I'm paying £3k for her which seems reasonable considering.... Have to say it meets my idea of nearly perfect, but I'm completely new to this land rover world....
So hello to all, and I look forward to asking lots of inane questions, forgetting to search properly, upsetting the locals, replying to questions about oil and bikes, and most of all, getting back to my roots getting my hands truly filthy fixing bits that drop off!
