Appolgies if this has already been highlighted but they have a sale on at the moment up to 50% off everything, no code is required (the SUMMEREND25 has expired now)

I just picked up rear discs, pads all round and wiper blades for £65 ;)

Happy with that.

Talking to guy when I picked them up though and these offers are only available on line even though I went for click & collect & went in to store anyway!

not that cheap for a 300 tdi

depends if you have a trade account or not young james.

off topic but same thing, I was shopping for a new electric shower the other day,
wanted a triton make, a same as my old one for easy change over.
most bigger stores do them,
screwfix was £40 collect,
argos was £67 collect
B & Q was about the same at £65...
used bro in laws trade card at B & Q = £46-79 collected with a big smile.

the screwfix would have meant a £15 spend on diesel to collect !!
B & Q & argos was just a few miles away....

trade i.e. your business, must get more agreeable prices than joe bloggs on an average day.
more instances.
a new tyre for mrs lexus.. whare do I start, but by buying a budget tyre
from joe bloggs tyre sales = cost ££ ???
but from DELTI.com - Mytyres,
a 1 off delivered to my local tyre shop (dont have to wait in for delivery)
then a pre arranged price for the change over puts just £12 extra on the bill for fitting, balancing & old tyre disposal.. all for £59-70, plus the tyre is speed rated for 180KPH with as made rim protection rubber edge.
the power of internet shopping at its best - if - you dont have a trade account...

take your point but you can get front pads from less than a tenner

must admit I tried my local factors only because there local, but now only for a must have now item,
as they rob you blind.
I normally just buy from internet, Including the RR & LR dealers in Mersea, not that far, but cheaper for being delivered than getting on my scooter and getting it myself..
and yes, I buy pads from the cheapest "looking" deal online too..

I spose I got more time to window shop as i`m retired,
than if I was working full time on Landies/ any other trade..

Fear the ECP monster if it ever comes to your areas after years of good solid factors.

They've just moved in round here and are trying to muscle out the established factors by having millions of vans doing silly drops. Apparently the regular fleet will be about 3-4 vans - not the 14-15 about at the mo.

The fickle garages are falling over themselves to get some of this actions, not realising that if they manage to kill off the established factors ECP will ramp the ****e out of the prices for parts that are not a patch on the established factors gear.

The factors tend to be pricey because they are involved with a big name supplier and maybe the bottom end - no in between...

ECP just get the bottom end stuff and brand it up as theirs - many factors know this and have warned good customers when ECP blitz an area about the drop in quality.

very true, my sister used to do deliveries to garages, but Europarts opened near there place and basically 6 months later the shop she worked at has closed and she is on the dole

I'm not touching britpart with a barge pole, if I get there parts through I send them back, bearmach arnt that bad, we use all makes and genuine mostly and we've never had a problem

britpart are a wholesaler, the biggest of lr parts i think ,they do genuine and other makes of parts as well as cheap pattern ,most oif the genuine you buy if not from an actual lr dealer is through them , our local dealer even offers britpart supplied parts

The point is you don't know if it's genuine or reproduced Chinese rubbish, we want reliable parts not so much cheap parts

what are you been serious ?you get what you order ,supermarkets also do a cheap range does that make their heinze beans any different

Exactly if it's a well known established good brand it stays, if it's got britpart
ON the box (excluding springs) it goes back but I never order britpart stuff anyway, not taking the risk, I want my work to be renowned to be good quality, not get a bad wrap for using cheap parts

we want reliable parts not so much cheap parts ""

and in that lies the problem.
we have seen chinese made motorbikes and scooters so bad mechanicaly after 3 years old, they will never pass an MOT and are scrapped or broke for parts,
to fit parts that are also broke

Exactly more expensive parts are much more cost effective as they last so much longer
