Grab a cup of tea............................

Here we have ( in it's previous life ! ) a 1989 Land Rover 90 4C country estate which through a very talented last-owner-but-one is now a land Rover Defender 90 with a genuine Defender 200TDi Engine and now a genuine Defender transfer box ( more of that later ).
I bought the vehicle almost 5years ago but the then current owner forgot to mention a duff gearbox ( virtually no oil when checked ! ). This vehicle has Land Rover Classic range Rover axles so has discs all round. I have ( including purchase, spent a total of around £11,000 on her - with most receipts still available ).
V5c is obviously in my name and the Defender 200TDi engine is also on the V5C. This engine ( OE mileage not known) pulls like a train and starts first and every time, no engine leaks.
I fitted a 900 amp battery about three years ago ( has 5 years warranty I believe ) so all electrics etc are fine. Halogen headlamps. Front A bar and front bash plate fitted. Spots work.
I always put 300ml of 2-stroke oil in the diesel when I fill her up. I also checked/adjusted the valve clearances a few weeks ago. Appears no issues at all with this lovely engine.
All polybushed and lot's stainless security bolts.
About 500 miles ago I fitted 5 new road tyres and a couple of months ago fitted new Ferrodo front disc pads.
Now the juicy bits...I bought this Defender because it has a galvanised bulkhead ( which still looks like new )
and was fitted with a genuine 200TDi engine. In October 2015 I commissioned Richards Chassis to fit a replacement glavanised chassis, suspension cones and gearbox cross member ( this alone cost me over £3,000 ) and at the same time they fitted a new tow bar and side steps ( side steps are, gasp, Brit**** and need re-painting - nothing new there then. Incidently all parts unless absolutely neccessary are NOT Brit**** ).
When I had a replacement gearbox put in ( local Land Rover specialist did all the work ) I also had a new quality clutch, slave cyclinder and piping etc replaced as a matter of course. Had the worn Discovery transfer box removed and a genuine s/h Defender one installed ( as it came with the replacement gearbox from LandMarque Country Vehicles) Have all the bills for their work...just cannot find the Richards Chassis bill !
So, mileage show's 176,500 but really, who know's as the engine and most of the parts have been replaced etc. This Land Rover will last for many, MANY a year.
Full silencer is about two and a half years old.
Brand new digital AIWA radio about 18 months ago.
All new track rod ends, drop arm ball-joint and one front swivel ( other seem's perfect ) since I have had her.
LED rear light ( connected to OE wiper switch ) there isn't a rear wiper but she does have a heated screen.
No fancy sender unit's etc...this just a good old fashioned 1989 Land Rover.
Rera side seat and obviosly a very clean inside.
Remote alarm ( don't know the make ) activated by key or after 30 seconds delay. Same key fits all doors.
Ignition key fits lockable fuel cap.
Workable sunroof ( can drip occasionally - they all do that Sir ! )
Newish Sports ( 15" I think ) steering wheel....superb mod btw.
Power steering and servo brakes.
Discovery wheels and lockable wheelnuts on all 5 :)
M.O.T October 2017 ( no advisories btw ) and have about last 7 certificates.
Genuine reason for sale which I will disclose to purchaser etc.
Land Rover is on the Wirral and I want £7,500 firm ( sorry, simply not negotiable ). Kenny 07769 585 109
Will leave up on a couple of sites and then place it on Eblag if no takers etc etc
P.S. If I have forgotten anything I will update the ad
Ready to go, just needs a car jack ( has brace etc ) not sure where the jack actually went ?? lol

Sounds amazing and with all the weaknesses of a second hand Landy eradicated! sadly outside my budget but good luck with the sale.

Thanks guys....but had her cleaned up yesterday, went for a spin and now realize that a campervan can wait a little longer...as wifey want's to keep the Defender ! So thanks for all the replies and my apologies for messing you about.
