Maybe next year for me and hopefully in this:

They now have their replacement landy and provided they continue to be pleased with it, the 110 will be mine very soon :D

Hope you get it Nick looks sweet.

Cheers guys.
I can't see any reason for it to fall through, but I won't be happy until I have the keys and logbook.
The Disco now has the for sales signs on and will be on ebay tomorrow (£1750) and a discounted advert £1350 on Landyzone and SLROC tomorrow (roof rack not included).
If its not sold by early September I'll strip off the offroad toys and try getting and grand, if it'll have to be broken.
Not feeling very confident, Jon's Disco was a steal at what he was asking and that ended up being broken.

Discos have dropped in price massively, if you want a road one TD5's are down in price and if you want an off roader there are so many £500 ones around! If you hold out it will hopefully sell, I got impatient an decided to get my suspension off, after that it wasn't worth much, I'm hoping to make a grand on spares with it though not including what I took off (which was about £2K's worth)

So everyone is turning to defenders... I miss my comfort on my disco big time but the fenders look so much cooler, I have just fitted my swing away so my tyre and hi-lift are now mounted on the back, looks bad ass!!

Is that a special swing away type to house a hi lift or do you get the bracket!?

By the way guys don't think many saw it but been told tonight that's a cure for my father and has a 70-80% chance of survival I'm bouncing off the ceiling so need to get out with some local chaps and do my first green lane soon!

Good news there! I will be looking to start laning again. Slowly paddling my way through fixing the bloody thing.

That's brilliant news, glad to hear it.

The bracket is built into the swing away, it's bolted to the door on a swing arm bracket so I can open the door from the inside still. It still shakes the back around but it's better than ripping the door off!

what do you think lads?? First landy i have ever had thought would post some pictures of it and what i have done!

Any tips ideas hints and tricks welcome! This is my project/off roader.

One thing i will ask the drivers side the door doesnt line up at all as you can see do you know why that would be?

Could be worn door hinges, open door wide and lift up and see if there is any
play. Cheap and easy fix.

would that explain why it doesnt shut properly like the otherside. It catches and holds but i can push it in or out by about 10mm

Sounds like it isn't shutting completely, if you push the part on the door lock they catches on to the A post it should click twice, yours sounds like it is not catching on fully.

looking good fella coming along, you will prob find the door hindges have dropped do you have to lift the door to get it to shut properly? cheap easy fix just replace them using an impact driver to undo them, or if like me cut down the sides with an angle grinder cutting through the bolts nice and easy, with colour its totally up to you, wouldnt bother about spraying it as it will only get scratched wile laning then your be gutted, roller and brush it having given it a good key and it will look fine and when it gets scratched you can re touch up easy;)
get yourself out and do a bit of laning and enjoy it abit

it does double catch as it sticks out more when it is on first catch! Never see the reason for double catches lol. I dont need to lift to get it shut thats the thing! Both bloody stricker plates have round off bolts which is **** so i cant adjust them as i need easy outs which i dont have (well i do but there ****e a cheap crappy set)

Impact driver to undo them? It has a phillips head on it! I was going to ask are there special tools i need to undo them?

I was aiming to roller it because its easier and hell of alot cheaper haha!

You can get them out with a hammer and punch, don't start drilling them yet, leave it till your out and I will loosen them up if needed. You need to try it out and work out the bugs, speak to a few people and they will show you the tricks, I have learnt plenty from people off here

may have to borrow someone one day to teach me the art of extracting them beasts and what they recommend for sorting my door out! there is about 1cm x 1cm hole in the top left corner of the drivers door when looking outside i think the door has split slightly and needs a weld. my dad was going to teach me the art of mig welding but now his ill its been put on a back burner! so will wait and see

Use the punch to turn the head of the screw. By tapping the edge of the head it will then come undone (anti clockwise). Put screw in the bin & fit a new one.
