Looked up the one i think he is talking about.

Pilgrims Way Greenlane Byway (BOAT) in Kent


"Pilgrims Way is 3170 meters long (1.97 miles) which took me 7.23 minutes to ride, at an average speed of 16.35 mph. It is a BOAT (byway open to all traffic). You can expect to find:
  1. A non tarmac surface"
Me thinks he should have a think before inviting people, 2 hrs drive for 7.23 mins......... cant find a TRO..... but only the definitave map will tell us that.

I just been under my Disco, just found my drop arm ball joint is slack as well, must of been last driving day that done it.... Got to get an other one, this one will have agrease nipple in it, so i can give it a quick squirt from time to time, also noticed my sterring damper has been taking a beating as well.......

Also getting near to having an oil's and filter's change, and a general service

Stu going to change all the oils on mine shortly, i will go to local oil place and buy it in bulk let me know what you want and perhaps we can split it and save a few quid. if any of the other's need any i guess more the merrier, let me know.

That sounds good to me, i will need
  • engine oil 15w 40 (6Ltrs)
  • ATF Dexron IID - Auto Box (10 ltrs)
  • EP90 GL4 -Transfer Box (3 Ltrs)
  • EP90 GL5 - Diffs (4ltrs)
So if thats going to start the ball rolling, better get a price first tho, lol

Will make some calls in the week and get some prices. will let you know.
 
Hey guys good to see your all still about finally finished the house for the misus :rolleyes: hope fully picking up a 200 tdi lump for the old 90 next week so with any luck I can get back out laning with you all again soon :D little man can't wait to get back out in the landy again(bless him) keeps pointing at the landy and moaning at me as it has sat outside the house all winter, anyhows see you all soon.

Hey good to see you again, we have not been doing much laning latly due to verious problem we have all had with Landys, money ect...

Most of us have joined SLROC which have a off road course at Martellsham, Ipswich. thats a one outting a monthhave gained a couple of more guys to the fold, and lost one or two landys at the mo but the guys still chat on here.

I know what you mean about the little man, my boys been asking to go out agin, it looks like he wants a Birthday treat of off roading in as he's birthday is 25th July as well for him and a couple of mates... so it looks like i got a weekend planed with camping for me, lol.

Got another courtesy light installed in the disco today. Below alpine light. Got one more to add on the other side and we'll be able to see in the boot at night :)

Also, finally adjusted my steering stops to the complete maximum and hooray(!!!) - no more rubbing :D

Slowly running out of jobs to do...... gonna have to start welding soon if I don't think of any :mad: :mad:

Bastards in the Brentwood area!

Just went out to the Disco...Some bastards have had the roofbar/lights & CB Aerial of it...During the day!

So, if anyone gets offered a roofbar (Bent sideways), with 4 Round lamps (complete with white LED Angel-eyes)...& a Full length black springer CB aerial, with the top 6Inches bent FORWARDS..... Please let me know!

Well guys i did do the pilgrims way and its alot longer than 7 minutes that guy did it on a dirt bike and only did the first small section, there quite a few lanes in the area we were there for a couple of hours so try and get the facts right before critizing, i was trying to be friendly by inviting other landy owners, im not a mind reader and dont know where all you guys live if you dont want to come then just keep quiet, cheers !!
 
Glad you had fun. Just be mindful this is 'Essex Lanes' so most of us are from Essex hence why most weren't all that interested. I'm sure nothing untoward was meant by those that posted....
 
Yes thanx all we did have a good day, but if you guys invited me over i would come its always nice to do lanes you havent done before and meet new people, so thats why i posted here cheers Steve
