Engine stalls when halting W/WO A/C on. Stalled about 3 times then check engine light came on. Operating temp is normal. Engine runs smoothly and has normal power between stop signs.

Would agree with vougese39, check base idle then check/clean stepper.
Would also check for inlet air leak or perished vacuum hose.
