Hi Guys,

Does anyone know the significance between the Engine Management Fault light being on constantly (mentioned in the user manual) and it flashing (approx once per second, not mentioned)?

The flashing seems to happen at random for twenty seconds or so and then stop. What is the ECU trying to tell me?

"You have an engine management problem!"
"No you don't."
"You have an engine management problem!"
"I'll just re-check, sorry..."
"You have an engine management problem!"
"Err maybe not actually..."
"You have an engine management problem!"
"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention."
"You have an engine management problem!"
"Sorry! just a loose connection to the warning lamp."
"You have an engine management problem!"
"I was lonely"

This is on a 2001 model with 1.8 engine - it also has an 'Outspan' sticker on it because it is such a lemon....

Thanks!
