engine immobilized

Hi just got rangey 1995 4.6 hse message centre saying engine imobilized.tried to enter eak but this does nothing ,no beeps no flashes on lights,swaped door catch unit still nothing,central locking not working from drivers door but works when passenger door button pressed down but not operating drivers door .also drivers door window not working or door mirror.tried disconecting battery and reconecting with key in pos. 2 still imobilized.tried to re sync. Key fob but again no luck. Can anyone please help

There does appear to be a missing step from the security card and the owners manual. Hold the key in to lock position for 10 seconds, then go through the procedure. I came across this problem when my fob lost sync a few days ago.
