Engine Disabled

Well after Mozz kindly rescuing me from tesco car park, the RR is having intermittent issues disabling the Engine

It can all work fine for a couple of times, and then you stop it and it won't lock with the fob and then refuses to start with the engine disabled message, you keep trying t for ages then it suddenly all starts working again. Does this will all 3 keys

It is doing this on a daily basis and yesterday we had to spend an hour buggering about with it to get it running.

Finally the little red light on all 3 key fobs doesn't work on any of them, could this be related?

1 brand new fob, 2 old ones all with new batteries

Any Ideas?

just a guess the rf receiver possibly is not sending a signal intermittently

Is this the same problem you had last month? My guess is that you have an older RF receiver which is picking up stray signals to the point where it is swamped.
When it happened before did you do anything to correct it other than following Mozz's advice?

hi peewee , im away till monday ,so can come over tues if this helps ?/ have you fitted the new rf reciever ???? also just soley use the new fob till tues this will give me a bit of insight to other problems ,, will speak to you on monday ,,cheers mate ,,,,mozz

Its still the old receiver, but the wire is disconnected, thought that made it ok?

Should I give ernotts a ring to see if they got one in?

Will be ok until Tuesday Marty is using it, and he keeps ringing cos he is stranded in Random places! LOL I think its funny, but he's getting annoyed

Doesn't make it OK, just makes it less likely - the RF unit will still pick up strong RF signals....

Not only will the old RF still pick up spurious signals if they are strong enough, it can also fail in other ways which can include burning out your door locks.
