Hiya mate

First of all going back to the 'introduce yourself' area is not your best idea. You'll find the Rangie experts in the Range Rover section.

However, if all the ideas that you've had so far have involved using the key and you've tried them all then you've probably lost the sync between the BECM and the engine. In layman's terms the main computer is not talking to the engine.

To rectify this it has to be re-synced. Now you are into the realms of plug-ins. You could buy a syncmate from Black Box Solutions and do it yourself or you have to either get a man with the kit to your car, or your car to the kit.

Either way has it's plus points. If you buy a syncmate you can rectify it should it happen again. If you get it connected to a Testbook or one of the top end Black Box units you can get all of your faults read and cleared at the same time.

Either way it's money. But it's a P38, what did you expect.
