The end of the road/my patience has been reached. My td5 is being scrapped.Too many problems too many times it has let me down/left me stranded/stuck on my drive/in my garage/other people's drives lol when I have always maintained and repaired it previously. There comes a point where you have to walk away.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the help and advice people have given to me on here over the years.

Oi, where do you think you're going ?

Just because you are going to get rid of the vehicle, doesn't mean you can get rid of us that easy ...

Stay a while, wind down ... laugh at others misery ... give advice or support ... but please stay ...

Don't do it. You'll suddenly have more time to decorate, do the garden or take the missus shopping using all the spare cash you'll now have. Your friends used to avoid you in case you asked for a tow or hand swopping gearboxes. Now they'll flock round and eat all your cakes and drink your best whisky. You'll start looking at that empty space on the drive and curse when you get stuck in the snow, helpless whilst a Disco forges effortlessly ahead. Keep it!:)

What are you going to do with all the excess money you suddenly have? Beer and Women....much better off with a D2; will keep you broke and out of trouble.
Just to rub salt in the wound....I've had my D2 for a few years; reliable old bus and always starts, never lets me down...sorry!

That is what they are supposed to do, but the op's was not.
Don't be sorry, maybe yours is just setting you up for a similar disappointment, they're like that LandRovers, just when you think they're all going great, pop, the dream is over.
