is it really walnut details in a p38 from 1998 , I know it was in my classic , but in this one it looks more like plastic

The details in mine are real wood but it's a Vogue SE with special 'green' trim, at least they are on the centre console anyway. Not sure if they are all real wood though?

basically they have shaved a micro millimetre off a real piece of wood & glued it on top of some mdf or naf cheap wood, most/all special vehicle build number badged p38s had a far better grade/finish afterall you get what you pay for

will investigate if it´s the real thang on saturday , if it is, there will be some polishng and a general touch up of the interior , will be great coming to the autmn shoots in wellies, barbour and the labrador in the back, like a lord , maybe even take out the sbs instead of the ou.miroku ;)

Heres my old Browning Cynergy.... Gave up Shotgun, the cost of the shells and the clays was getting a bit out of hand....wish I had kept it now was a well balanced gun at 30", still needs must at the time.

All the wood trim is veneered usually onto box wood or ply. No matter what the model.

It feels, sounds and looks like plastic in my P38, the grain is too uniform and I'm sure replicates in places. Never had the need to pop the dash so can't confirm, but I figured it was cost saving by RR. Tbh, it looks hideous regardless.

All the wood on mine is genuine even the instrument cluster face. Only thing plastic is the radio cover. There is a lot of stick on plastic about though. Maybe that's what you have. But it's not RR stuff.

I don't have any stickon stuff (if I had, it'd be removed by now) just basic trim.

All the centre console on mine is burr walnut and is wood. Sat nav screen surround, Hevac trim, gear knob, switch pack, ash tray, tops of side panels, instrument cover face. All genuine wood. As i said only thing that is plastic is radio trim.
