electrical problems. could they be connected?

My disco is having a few problems. They are started together so not aure if they are all linked. The front electric windows dont work and the central locking wont work using the drivers door lock or the fob. I have to lock all doors individually. Also the stereo keeps turning itself on and off but as it does it sounds as if the doors are trying to lock but failing (not sure if this is the case but thats how it sounds) and the fan heater only works now and again.

When my locks started playing up, locking and unlocking on their own it was water in the electricals

check the carpets for wetness.

Il have a check. Felt a bit damp down the side of the drivers door the other day but not sure if it was just off my shoes.

does your disco have sunroofs??

Yeah. But they dont seem to leak. Jet washed the roof and they didnt leak. Lol

it is a very very common fault on disco sunroofs to leak.both mine do.

Chug a bug leaked like crazy. I used to get out looking like id had a shower. Lol

i have sealed both mine up for now,will do them properly in the summer,if i still own it.

Got some of the electrics sorted. The fan the cb and the stereo now work. There were a few bare live wires :/ just the front windows and central locking now.

bare wires

,not good in any car,never mind a disco.

Haha. Nope. I can gear the window ecu trying to work but the windows dont budge.

It only stopped working when the new ecu was fitted apparently. Gotta go back to where it was bought from and get it checked out.
