elec wing mirror wiring ?

Hi Guys, as i had the door cards off yesterday i discovered that the Drivers side wing mirror wasnt connected... on closer inspection this has obviously been replaced at some point.. and now has a bigger connector on it than that coming from the door card...

anyone clever enough to know the wiring ? im capable of wielding a soldering iron and hard wiring it if i know the color code.. or should i just keep my eye out for a new one ?i guess i could also make a convertor connector if i can get the male/female plug ends and pin outs too..

Pin Out, Connector and Wiring Diagrams will be in RAVE....

Can be downloaded from The How To section - look for Wammers post on Compressor testing, you'll find a link in there!

The Larger connection is either for the Mirror Memory functions or the Heated or Dip elements on the higher spec or later models!

There are two types early had less wires and the later one had more I think it was 6 wires early 10 wires late check the opposite side it should be the same .

The number of wires is associated with the photochromic mirrors fitted to up spec models not necessarily the age, some are just heated & motorised.

Yes thanks I new the extra wires were for memory mirrors don't know much about what cars had what, did the early cars have memory mirrors / seats ?
