Seen it in a motor sport mag, apprently gives a cooler injun hence more efficent.Any good for a V8?

The only experience Ive had with zorst wrap is on Classic mini's, and yes it does take the heat away from the engine bay thus letting engine suck in cooler air and gain you a better performance (Just like drivng it on a frosty morning?), but if you mainfolds arnt made of a dam good quality steel/stainless steel then you can have cracking and worppin issues. Personally I'd leave it well along unless your racing something and need every last possible Bhp out of the engine, I'd be interested to hear anyone else's thoughts?
P.S If you running a Snorkle then your sucking in cold air from above the roof anyway, so in my oppinion it would be a waste of time and money?

I've seen of cases of peeps having used that stuff and it's resulted in cracked manifolds as (i assume) the heat can't be dissipated by the exhaust quick enough

if it's not broke don't fix it

i believe the theory is the wrap keeps the hot exhaust gasses in the exhaust pipes, this apparently makes the exhaust gasses flow quicker through the pipes instead of leaking heat, and also lowers the intake air temperature and the general engine bay temp.

my take on this having built a few quick cars in the past .....
exhaust wrap is relatively expensive for very little gain (1-2bhp if your VERY lucky). if your worried about intake air temp then either get a ram-air induction system sucking direct from the front of the car (street legal drag cars have an induction system fitted behind a headlight - thats why they run with 1 headlight missing) or in the case of a landy - get a snorkel sucking clean cold (as cold as anywhere else at the front of the car) air from high up at the front of the vehicle.

if your REALLY worried about intake temp then get an intercooler mister using NOS sprayed over the intercooler bars to really lower the intake temp. a system like this but using water is fitted as standard to impreza's and evo's.
