EGR valve

Hi All
Been thinking of removing the egr valve on me td5 dicovery. Was after some advice from you all. Would you advise i go out and spend £50 on a removal kit such as the one they offer at td5 alive, Or do i go for the cheap 2.99 solution on ebay.

Depends a lot on your pocket and the mileage of your car.

My suggestion would be to do the job right, and bin the whole EGR thing, lock stock and barrel.

Then clean out the whole inlet manifold ... it will be full of ....


... I don't know how to say this without causing offence ....

... a horrible sticky filthy black gunge .... like ....
