Freelander 1 [SOLVED] EGR Blank leak, blew hose off!

Hi All,

Just made an account, but have read many a solution on this forum. Hope this post is allowed.

Blanked off the td4 exhaust yesterday, and the hose to be blanked was damaged and I think there is a small leak, but took it for a drive today and the egr hose blew off, it's now reattached but just wondering if this was due to me not clamping the hose down properly or not.

if the EGR hose came off it would be due to not tightening hose , so not much to worry about maybe check the jubilee clip is a good one and the teeth are not mashed up etc.

Thanks for the advice Arctic, I did fit it quite late at night . It did feel pretty loose as I did it back up.
Probably me just being overly cautious as I've just started working on cars.

Better still get the t bar clips available on line

Yeah I meant EGR lol.

Would be funny to see what blew if I did that!

Just to finish the thread.

Tightened the hose clamp, all working fine now.

As I say on most threads, please edit title to show solved.
