Can anyone recommend a place where I can send an ECU to be tested for faults?

It's a Bosch NNN100470 in a D2 V8 1999 manual.

The problem is a very odd LPG issue. The car was originally converted years ago with a mixer system. After some problems with backfiring I have recently had the front end redone with a sequential multipoint Romano system. Although it runs well, it is using some petrol as well as gas, at a ratio of maybe 7:1 petrol:LPG.

My installer has the car back, and has been working on it for a few weeks. Every component of the LPG system has now been replaced and the problem persists. We have replaced both O2 sensors (were not working, now confirmed working), and repaired the Throttle Position Sensor. It seems that the LPG ECU is sometimes not receiving the correct signals to tell it to turn off the LPG injectors.

At this point we are now wondering whether the main ECU could have a fault. I thought of replacing it, but since a new (used) one would be an unknown quantity and would still need to be coded to the car, I thought it might be better to have the existing one checked out. So is there anywhere who could thoroughly test the unit and its outputs for a reasonable cost?

OK thanks, I did Google it but was looking for a recommendation. Plus I'm not just looking for someone who can read fault codes, I want the actual ECU tested.

Unless your LPG system is vastly different to most, the LPG ECU is the one that controls the switch-over from petrol to gas, and that involves all of the petrol injector drivers being swapped effectively to the gas injectors. You should be able to hook up to the gas ECU with software and watch it all going on.

The Bosch ECU has no control over this process at all, so if it runs OK on petrol, look at the gas ECU for your problems, and while your under the bonnet, check for any petrol injectors that are jammed open or sticky.
