hi all is it possible to re set the eas my self or do i have to go to a garage ? is there anyone around leeds that can do this? thanks again;)

Download the EAS reset software here for free: http://www.rswsolutions.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=53&Itemid=56
Instructions on how to make the cable also on this website. I've used this software myself and reset a EAS fault. Making the cable is straight forward, but you need to buy the bits to do it. I got the cable and the 9 way female from work just had to buy the OBDII termination. Which I got from here OBD2 Socket component parts for £4 plus P+P.
Hope this helps..

the rear bags are cracked but dont think there leaking yet as it hasnt dropped at the back yet its been 3 days so far,but they will be getting done next week, just wondering if a reset would bring the front up so i could drive till i get it done? as the fault they read said compressor faulty but i have heard it run now and again is there any way i can turn compressor on manually so i can use tell i get this one replaced? thanks again

I used the old R-clips. I think it is a good idea to keep 1 or 2 in the car just in case. All you need for the back is tools. Front has springsteel clips on top, so maybe 1 or 2 of them as well. No special tools needed. I use a Leatherman and a piece of wire.

no sir if your car has dropped down, you have a hard fault,a reset may not cure this,if it is a soft fault it goes onto it's highest setting, and this normally can be reset, this is what i have led to beleive.

its on the highest at rear and probably middle on front it just wont move up or down, still drives fine no max speed warning yet lol

Wheteher and EAS unlock will reset a hard fault depends on what the fault is. If for example it's momentery out of range reading from a height sensor it will reset it untill the next time it fails. If the problem is a leak causing low air presure, unless the leak is intermittant it will not reset.
