EAS Fault - Cable at fault?

The timer relay powers the ECU, if the timer relay has gone tits up it would give you the symptoms you have.
You should not get a beep every 10 seconds, sounds like the timer function electronic in the relay has failed.
I have a spare but I'm a bit far away, maybe there is someone nearer who could let you try a known working one.

Where is he?:)

Probably suicidal by now:eek:

Haha not far off... Almost at the fitting springs stage..

I'm in Lancashire but work in Manchester.

If I try another standard relay without the timer function should that work to power the ECU on and off with the ignition?

I'm getting a recurring beep... EAS fault.... Max speed with the ignition on.

You cannot try a standard relay, you need the timer relay.

Well it's fixed.

I took the timer relay out on the 3rd and it was left in the house until today. Plugged it back in and tried again, FF responses and fault cleared.

So the suspensions working again but don't ask me how.

Done a few miles today and it seems to be ok.

Does EASunlock need to register a fault before a reading the codes? As I tried reading the codes again and it wouldn't idle.

Everything is the same as when it cleared the fault but I can't get a 'good idle' again.

When I connect the lead to the port it doesn't beep and the Rx response is PP.

I'm working away this week and thought it would be a good idea to bring it with me incase it happened again. Guess that was asking for trouble.
