I have a puzzling problem I read all about the EAS control switch (the lights in particular not being lit up). My problem is that they are lit up.......all of them I have the RSW All Comms to test everything and clear all faults but I cannot find anyone in any Range Rover forums that have had this particular gremlin. Heeeeeeeelp please

Its a 2002-2003 spec Vogue I have just looked at my profile and shows I still have a discovery

Now thats an odd one...

Standard light and the hold switch indicates soft fault....all lights off indicates hard fault...

All lights on never heard of before....maybe ECU fecked...but they Re usuLly robust.

When I am in front of my PC I'll pull up RAVE and see if that sheds some light.

Does the vehicle level itself, or is it on bump stops?

Donno if any help regarding L322, but I had the same on my P38 when I had problems with the NRV O-rings (Symlise red not existing ones fitted:confused:).
It appeared after setting of in access mode with car full of people, car rose slowly to standard height but must have struggled as everything lit up after 15-20 min driving,
stayed on although everything worked. NO slow warning.

Produced a really long list of faults which I reset with Lynx, never appeared again shortly after I changed out the whole EAS unit in engine bay for brand new one.
(Keeping an ready to go overhauled as spare in boot)

Hi all thanks for comments. In Reply to Saint.V8 the car has not sat on the bump stops since new air spring fitted to front end, car sits at entry level then rises to normal height (to me looks a little high though) does not drop just cant alter any ride height with the control switch, have replaced battery but as aforementioned I have the All Comms so I reset/clear all faults one mechanic said the lights would change once driven for a while but even after a 100 mile trip they still were all on it really is weird.

Thanks Datatek, surely if the ECU was fecked the car would just sit on access height and not rise have done a pressure test on compressor all good, noisy but I think that's due to not being screwed down fully as I was trying to find some details on the compressor for a new seal kit.

You can have selective failures in an ECU, I don't know the L322 system as well as the P38. Damp or corroded connectors can cause all sorts of problems.

Could be BCM as this controls the signals to the lights in the controls
Just looked at the circuit diagram...the Lights are controlled via the EAS ECU not via the BCM.

When the L322 suspension goes into fault, it does so in two ways...

A Soft Fault - this is when it can determine with reasonable accuracy its ride height, and can maintain it but there is a fault in the system could be pressure loss in the tank, weak compressor etc...

A Hard Fault - if it can't determine its ride height, or there is not sufficient pressure left to maintain ride height. This can be as a result of a soft fault until such time the pressure runs out to maintain height and it then results in a hard fault and the vehicle lowers to the bumps.

If yours is still at standard ride height it sounds like a soft fault....

Have you had the battery off??

On reconnection did you turn the steering full lock left then full lock right to reset the steering angle sensor??

I will read RAVE and see if I can get anything...but it may pay to get the ECU out (Under the passenger side dashboard fascia) and check for corrosion (common on the P38 - not so much on the L322) but is still a possibility!

As attached.....no mention of all lights lit...can only assume either connector corrosion at the ECU or the ECU has shat itself....

thanks for the help guys all resolved, was getting fed up and just decided to press everything on the RSW All Comms, in the change settings/air suspension functions I hit the transport off/on/off, and all the lights stopped flashing the car lowered then rose to normal height. Toggled the control switch up and down and all working fine. Just another one of those unexplained problems with the EAS....now off to fix next problem 3 of the door locks are sticking and can only be opened from the inside to pop the little plunger thingy up then door fine

Actually now you mention the transport mode....yes all lights lit for transport mode...somehow you had got it set into transport mode...maybe with the battery going low the ECU tripped over itself and set itself in to TM...

BUT a lot of damage can be done just hitting all buttons on a device directly connected to all the systems of you car....word to the wise....don't do it again it may end in tears next time...patience is key with a Range Rover in fault!

well this morning the car took ages to rise and compressor sounding really noisy so ordered seals today will take photos of the job if anyone is interested its only a ten minute job to actually remove the whole compressor unit and new tyres ordered been an expensive weekend but she is worth it

Sorry for the late reply guys got the seals form AirSuspensionRepair.co.uk cost 24.99. Fitted all in 10 minutes as off for NCT (MOT) in morning, car drove perfect. Went to pick up and rear suspension sitting on bump stops now getting temperature sensor fault on compressor so stripped it all out could find no wear or tear replaced back in car and finished for the night (bloody freezing) looked out of lounge window @10pm and there she was sitting perfect, even though I never started it after replacing compressor.........so confused again .............off to plug in All Comms to see what fault showing up.....

The L322 relevels itself even without starting the car....similar to the P38 every few hours it will relevel...the difference between the L322 and the P38 is the L322 will level upwards aslong as there is air in the tank...as soon as this air is depleted, it will start releveling to the lowest corner....

if it was on the bumps at the rear, time to get the soapy water out...the bags tend to split where they fold over themselves so not always evident...

Already tested with Soapy water Saint but the bags look fairly new compared to the fronts I replaced but I will check again in daylight as may have missed in the dark and torch was not brilliant but surely it would not level if there was a leak I half expected it to still be sitting on bump stops. (why could this not all happen when the weather was warm time to break out the thermals)

Depends on the severity of the leak and also the position of the leak...the bags fold over themselves and this can cause a split to seal itself and the car will be fine, until the bag gets extended or compressed past the leak and it will then leak out...

If your bags look new, then maybe there isn't a leak in them, but the airlines leading thereto have been known to leak also....plus the crosslink valve joints (unlikely though!)

I would watch it for a few days and see if it still starts to drop....it may just have been while it was at the garage and they had the rear lifted up off the wheel causing the rear wheels to dangle, the ECU will try and lower the rear by letting air out as it thinks the rear is too high...so when they lowered it back down, the rear was on the bumps (as the ECU tried to lower the rear) and they then parked it up, and the L322 just never relveled itself or couldn't due to lack of air...or a door wasn't closed properly, meaning the car couldn't relevel as it was frozen....your drive home, gave it enough time to recharge the tank and when you parked up, it releveled itself back to square....

Going from bad to worse.....all 4 corners now on bump stops plugged in all comms get message "reservoir pressure static when filling" and the all comms wont clear it. But even after locking car up the compressor is running as I could hear it when packing all my tools away.........oh and the rear bags are fine no leaks what so ever. Now I am really confused and frustrated arghhhhhhhh
