well Ive finally had enough of the stupid door mechanism inside the front and second row doors...its simply now impossible to open any of them from the handle inside...
they are the lifty up handle type on the outside (its an '84) the latches themselves are VERY similar looking to Series 2/3 ones...however, unlike S2/3, there isnt a lifty up handle inside...theyre connected to a rod linkage mechanism that feeds along the centre of the door to a plastic pull handle...most of these assemblies on each door are broken/bent/generally pants ...and I cant find parts for them anywhere
So my question is...will a S2/3 lifty up latches fit in the same aperture as the current ones?

Any thoughts appreciated

Oh right cheers, yeah I have a parts manual paper book that I bought...

I can find the part numbers....

I just enquiring in the first post if the series type handles/locks will fit in an early 110 aperture

Those parts books only cover vehicles from 1987 onwards. You will need the up to 1986 parts books, which I don't have I'm afraid.

The early 110 locks certainly fit in a Series door, as I have just put a set on my 88". So I should think they would swap the other way too.

Make sure you go anti-burst though. Would be a shame to go back to the rubbish slam catches.
