I want to put dual snorkels on the defender when i start putting it back together. But i want it to be actually doing something. Not just there for show. Ive heard of a few truck with duals but where. Can j get a dual entry box from. Cant seem to find anything.

Figure that be out when the time comes. But i know its been done before so the must be a way. There was a chap in lro monthly i think that had a td5 with duaks.

What will the effect be, of having 2 air intakes will you need to adjust the air/fuel ratio seeing as you'll be increasing the amount of air been forced into the air intake.

Cant see as you would need too. Your increasing the ratio by putting one snorkel on anyway because your forcing more air in as you increase your speed. Besides isnt that what the maf sensor does.

Snorkels don't effect the fueling. The engine can only suck in so much air at once. By fitting a snorkel your limiting the air as it's having to suck the air in further than normal. Even with a ram top on it at high speed it won't help as it can still only suck in so much so it makes no difference.

By putting twins on matey it might put a little less strain on as it's not so restricted as a single snorkel but I doubt it will make much difference, and you don't need to change fueling or anything silly like that lol ;)
The MAF sensor will sort the rest of it.

As for connecting it up id run flexi tube of each snorkel up to the air box and put in a Y shape joiner so ya keep the same air box

By putting twins on matey it might help the td5 suck air in better as it's not so restricted as a single snorkel, but you don't need to change fueling or anything silly like that lol ;)

Thought not. Besides mass airflow sensor controls air fuel mix.

Wrong, snorkel restricts flow

A landrover doesn't run fast enough for a ram effect to happen properly and with the small diameter tubing inside the snorkel itself you don't add anything to the performance

Fook Fook Fook:mad:;) got to agree with Doc on this, and if you have chipped it and added a bigger inter cooler and done anything with turbo you will need more air
