Trying to do the drop arm ball joint and I can't get the bracket on top of the boot to budge. Tried bottle jack and massive hammer and no joy. Any tips please?

Yeah I kept hitting it. Then the real ightmare began of getting the new top collar in and spring etc. Took me 2 days in the end.
