TD5 2005 Defender Experence 110
Hello
Why is it that when the temperature drops below 3 degrees in the winter my passenger doors refuse to shut properly and keep bouncing back.
Has anyone else had this problem? I've tried moving the door catch, changing the rubber, WD40, you name it nothing seems to work. Any Ideas?

Rubber gets harder in cold weather and metal with shrink....Is the door flush with the bodywork when closed and look the same as the drivers door? Will it shut with a hard shove after the first 'click'? If yes adjusting the 'catch' out a touch on the door pillar should sort it.

Try leaving one of the front vents open & see if this helps, I had a customer who didn't believe that slamming the door caused a build up of air pressure in the cab of his 110 CSW, he thought I was talking **** & went to another garage who replaced all his doors with new ones, guess what, still the exact same problem lol
