I have a slight issue with the passenger door on my 110. It is locked shut and I dont have the key. I pressed the button inside to lock it. Now that button doesnt work. I have had a poke about in the catch area, and it doesnt seem obvious that anything is able to move. it looks too tight to get the door card off with the door closed, but i will persevere if necessary with trying.
I was planning to gently cut through the nylon(?) spacer behind the striker with a hacksaw blade or dremel, since it looks like that is the cheapest part to replace, so that the door and striker will open together. does that sound a sensible plan? It is about all that i can easily get to, short of destroying the door card.
needless to say, I will be replacing the lock barrels whilst the door card is off, and making sure that it all works.
Were the 2nd row doors on the 110 200tdis not fitted with external locks, not that it really matters. probably better for security that way.
