Freelander 2 (LR2) DOOR LOCK MOTORS

Apologies if this has been answered before. Mechanic has replaced 4 door locks over recent years at over GBP100 each (parts only here is South Africa). I asked for the latest errant lock and disassembled it. I cannot see anything wrong. When in the car, the lock lever just gave a tiny limp movement and did not lock when unlocked, nor unlock when locked. I suspect one of the 2 little motors inside the lock but ....they both run nicely out of the lock. How do I bench test the lock to narrow down precisely what the problem is? Can anyone provide a wiring diagram for the 10 pin connector? Other suggestions? TIA

The motors normally fail under load. They're cheap, if you can find them.
