Rear right door does not lock

I have a problem with my rear right door lock.
When unlocking with the remote, everything works, but when I lock the car, the rear door stays unlocked.
I need to manually lock the door everytime.
Do you think this a major issue or could it be solved fairly easy?

It's pretty common for door lock actuators on these to fail, so that's the most likely cause. It could be worse, as often the door locks shut, meaning it's extremely difficult to open the door without getting destructive.

John has it the nail on the head, now is the time to change the lock, while you can open it, because if the other actuator switch goes you will be in a world of pain.

In addition to what I said above, if the rear right (wheel is on the left) is closed when i.e. driving, when I open the driver door, the rear right door unlocks.
Quite weird.

So, what is needed to change the lock?
How much job is needed and could that be done easily by yourself or is a workshop needed?

To replace a rear latch assembly is quite a bit of work. The door needs to be stripped of the window so access to the latch. A good mechanic should be able to do it in less than 2 hours.
